Cancel or Downgrade Your Plan
How cancellation works, what you keep, and how to switch to a cheaper plan instead.
Cancel your subscription
- Go to Settings → Billing.
- Click Manage subscription to open the Stripe customer portal.
- Choose Cancel plan.
- Confirm.
Your paid features stay live until the end of the current billing period — you've already paid for it. After that date your workspace drops to the Free plan automatically. Nothing is deleted.
What you keep after cancellation
- Your account, login, and 2FA settings.
- Every website, generated page, citation history, and analytics record.
- Your API keys (rate-limited to the Free tier — effectively disabled).
What gets paused
- AI content generation runs that exceed Free-tier monthly caps.
- Team-member seats above 1 (additional members lose access until you re-upgrade).
- Public API access and webhook deliveries (Free tier has no quota).
- Competitor tracking, anomaly alerts, and any premium tier feature.
Downgrade instead of cancel
If you only need to spend less, downgrade rather than cancel:
- Settings → Billing → choose a lower paid tier.
- Stripe pro-rates the difference — you'll get a credit on the next invoice.
This is usually the better move if you still want at least one website tracked, since canceling drops you to Free which has stricter monthly caps.
Refunds
Refund policy depends on which plan you're on:
- Starter — ships with a 7-day free trial. Cancel before your first charge to pay nothing. After the trial, we don't offer change-of-mind refunds, but canceling immediately stops the next renewal.
- Growth and Enterprise — commitment tiers: billed immediately on signup, no trial, no change-of-mind refund. They're protected by the 90-day AI Citation Guarantee instead — if your citations don't grow in 90 days of active use, every paid cent is refunded. See the Guarantee Claim article for the full qualification criteria and the claim flow. You can file a claim directly from Settings → Guarantee Refund.
Canceling your subscription does not file a guarantee claim — those are separate actions. You can do both if you qualify.
FAQ
If I cancel, can I come back later? Yes — your workspace is preserved. Re-subscribe in Settings → Billing any time and your historical data is exactly where you left it.
Will my AI-generated pages be removed from my site? No. Pages we generated and published live on your domain — they stay there forever. Cancelling only stops new generation runs.
What happens to scheduled syndication or backlink campaigns? In-flight campaigns finish their current cycle. New ones won't be queued after the period ends.
Can I delete my account entirely instead of canceling? Yes — see the Security & Privacy article for the GDPR account-deletion flow (with a 30-day grace period). Look for the "Data Privacy" section. Note: requesting deletion also automatically stops your next subscription renewal, so you don't need to cancel separately.
