Upload documents to enrich AI content generation with your expertise.

What is the Knowledge Base?

The Knowledge Base lets you upload your own documents (articles, guides, FAQs, product specs) so that ReachSurge's AI uses your specific knowledge when generating content. This ensures generated articles reflect your brand's expertise and terminology.

How It Works

  1. Upload text — paste or upload document content
  2. Automatic chunking — text is split into ~500-word overlapping segments
  3. AI embedding — each chunk is converted to a vector embedding using Gemini
  4. RAG retrieval — when generating content, relevant chunks are retrieved and injected as context

Setting Up

  1. Go to SettingsKnowledge Base
  2. Click Create and name your knowledge base
  3. Paste document text into the upload field (minimum 50 characters)
  4. Click Upload & Embed — processing takes a few seconds

Use Cases

  • Brand voice consistency — upload your style guide so AI matches your tone
  • Product knowledge — upload product specs so articles reference accurate details
  • Industry expertise — upload research papers or reports for data-backed content
  • FAQ enrichment — upload existing FAQs to improve generated FAQ sections

FAQ

How many knowledge bases can I create? No limit — create separate KBs for different topics or websites.

What file formats are supported? Plain-text paste today. PDF and DOCX upload is on the roadmap — track Contact to vote it up. In the meantime, copy text out of your PDF (most PDF readers have a "Copy text" option) and paste it into the upload field.

Does the knowledge base affect all content generation? Only when a knowledge base is explicitly selected during content generation.
